With over 21 million Volkswagen Beetles manufactured in an air-cooled, rear engined, rear wheel drive configuration, the Beetle is the longest running and most manufactured vehicle of a single design platform anywhere in the world. The simple design and classic looks made this car an icon of the 20th and 21st century and people wanted their car to stand out from the crowd.

Thump! Thump! was setup by two young Volkswagen enthusiasts called Jay Townsend and Gary Constable in the 1980s & 1990s. They quickly became famous for creating some of  the most outlandish Volkswagens the British VW scene had ever seen, the most famous of which is a certain VW Beetle named Billabug, based around the 'Billabong' surf wear!
